COLD DRIP COFFEE BREWER

While cold brew coffee is an immersion of coffee and cold water, cold drip coffee separates the cold water from the coffee grounds completely. The technique requires a cold drip apparatus or ‘drip tower’—usually made of three glass vessels—that allows iced water to slowly drip over freshly ground coffee. To use a cold drip coffee maker, ice and and water are loaded into the chamber above the coffee. The cold water then slowly drips through the coffee, into the filter, and then fills the chamber at the bottom, producing cold drip coffee. Cold brewed coffee has much less acidity and bitterness which makes it perfect for iced coffee drinks.
